…for the Performing Arts
Feature Articles & Blog Posts
As the Editorial Content Manager at New York City Center, I was solely responsible for writing, editing, and publishing a high volume of print and digital editorial content including feature articles, blog posts, press releases, and Playbill program books for numerous dance and musical theater programs.
I drew on my unique mix of expertise in writing and performing—honed by over 20 years of study in the performing arts—to find connections between the works on stage and City Center’s distinct audiences and crafted convincing narratives and impactful content that got right to the heart of each program.

Email Marketing & Newsletters
When COVID-19 hit, I needed to pivot City Center's content strategy—and fast. That meant moving away from the onsite experience and instead strategizing ways to continue to provide inspiration through the performing arts so that people could still feel connected to the theater during its temporary closure.
I helped redefine and transform City Center’s newsletter content and structure to create a digital doorway for discovery into irresistible, must-watch online programming that included the Encores! Archives Project, Dance at City Center, and City Center Live @ Home which featured Studio 5 | Great American Ballerinas and Ayodele Casel’s Diary of a Tap Dancer V.6: Us. Evident from the newsletters’ strong open rates, increased click-throughs, and reduced unsubscribed, we were able to engage loyal patrons and expand City Center’s digital audience internationally.

Season Launch Brochures & Program Books
At The Joyce Theater, I was the main marketing contact for all dance companies and was instrumental in the creation of program books and the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer season brochures enjoyed by over 150,000 dance aficionados and newcomers to the theater. By sifting through large collections of text, images, and videos to select material that best represents the artists and their work, I was successful in producing effective and engaging content across all digital and printed materials.

Social Media Content
As a social media content creator for New York City Center, The Joyce Theater, and National Dance Institute, I leveraged my storytelling ability to envision social media campaigns. By creating stellar copy accompanied by thumb-stopping images and videos, I was able to fortify each of the organizations’ institutional brand voice.
Below are some examples of some top-performing social media posts that ramped up engagement and increased fans and followers.👇
Website Content
In addition to writing across a variety of mediums, I was also an active author for all digital and web content at New York City Center.
I created web page content from scratch and revamped existing web content to successfully convey a solid understanding of City Center’s musical theater, dance, education, and community programs with an audience-forward style that appealed to both current patrons and newcomers to the theater.
